Who We Are
Weight Loss Surgery Guide is owned and published by Cyntar S.C., represented by Lic. Jorge Arriaga and located at Paseo de los Héroes 9111-100, Zona Urbana Río Tijuana, C.P. 22010, Tijuana, Baja California, México. Cyntar S.C. operates Hospital Cyntar and supports the Obesity Control Center bariatric practice. Cyntar S.C. is the personal-data controller for information collected through this website.
Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Cyntar S.C. collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data through weightlosssurgeryguide.com. It applies to visitors, prospective patients, people submitting surgery inquiries, users of the AI assistant, and individuals communicating with Hospital Cyntar personnel through website-connected channels.
Educational and Commercial Purpose
The website provides bariatric education and provider comparisons and generates surgery inquiries for Cyntar S.C. and the Obesity Control Center practice. It is not an independent consumer-ranking organization. It is not an emergency service and does not provide an individualized diagnosis or treatment plan through the public website.
Information You Provide
We may collect your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, country or region, language, preferred communication channel, desired procedure, and a general message.
Basic Health-Screening Information
A surgery-inquiry form may ask for height, weight, calculated BMI, prior bariatric surgery, current medications, diabetes status, and major medical conditions. These answers are sensitive health-related information. They are used only for preliminary inquiry review, preparation for human follow-up, and identifying what additional evaluation may be required.
Separate Consent for Sensitive Data
When the form asks for health-screening information, it must display a required, separate, unchecked consent authorizing Cyntar S.C. to process that information for the inquiry and preliminary-review purposes described here. Marketing permissions are separate and optional.
No Medical-Record Uploads
The website does not accept medical-record uploads at launch. Do not submit medical records, laboratory reports, diagnostic images, operative reports, identification documents, insurance information, or detailed medical histories through forms, AI chat, ordinary email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
AI Assistant
The Bitrix24 AI assistant may answer general educational questions and collect contact details. It does not collect health-screening answers, diagnose conditions, determine candidacy, recommend a procedure, or replace a licensed clinician.
Information Collected Automatically
We may collect IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location, referring page, pages visited, timestamps, cookie identifiers, consent choices, security events, and general interaction data. Optional analytics and advertising technologies operate according to your choices and applicable law.
Cookies and Related Technologies
We use necessary technologies for security, delivery, forms, and consent storage. With permission when required, we may use Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, and tags managed through Google Tag Manager. Details appear in the Cookie Policy and Consent Preferences.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate and secure the website; respond to surgery inquiries; conduct limited preliminary screening; prepare human follow-up; provide requested educational, consultation, pricing, scheduling, travel, and service information; manage communication and cookie preferences; maintain consent and suppression records; measure site performance and Cyntar’s advertising when permitted; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with law; protect legal rights; and improve content and operations.
Human Review
Screening information is reviewed only by authorized Cyntar or Hospital Cyntar personnel. Website submission does not establish candidacy, create a doctor-patient relationship, or guarantee a procedure. Formal clinical decisions require an appropriate professional evaluation.
Who Receives Information
Only authorized Cyntar S.C. and Hospital Cyntar personnel receive and manage Weight Loss Surgery Guide inquiries. We do not sell leads or route them to outside hospitals, brokers, manufacturers, financing companies, or unrelated providers.
Service Providers
Contracted providers may process limited information for their services: GoDaddy for hosting; Bitrix24 for CRM, AI chat, and communications; Google for analytics, advertising measurement, and tag management; Meta Platforms for advertising measurement; Microsoft for Clarity; and the consent-management provider selected before launch. Professional advisers and authorities may receive information when legally necessary.
Advertising Data Restrictions
We do not intentionally send names, contact details, desired procedure, BMI, weight, diabetes status, medications, major conditions, prior-surgery information, screening answers, message text, or chat text to Google Ads, Meta, GA4, Microsoft Clarity, or other advertising and analytics platforms.
Marketing Communications
Authorized Hospital Cyntar personnel may respond to an active inquiry using the contact method selected. Promotional email, SMS, WhatsApp, and live telephone follow-up requires the applicable separate permission. All promotional outreach is manual through Bitrix24. There are no automated marketing sequences, prerecorded calls, AI voice calls, or automatic dialing.
Your Communication Choices
Marketing email includes an unsubscribe mechanism. SMS recipients may reply STOP. WhatsApp recipients may reply STOP, clearly ask us to stop, or block the account. Telephone recipients may tell the representative to stop marketing calls. Additional information appears in Communication Preferences.
Retention
Ordinary contact information and inquiry correspondence are normally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction. Preliminary health-screening information for a person who does not become a patient is normally retained for up to 12 months. AI-chat transcripts are normally retained for up to 12 months. Consent, opt-out, and privacy-request records may be retained for up to five years when reasonably necessary. Cookie and provider-specific periods appear in the Cookie Policy.
If You Become a Patient
If you proceed to clinical evaluation or care, information necessary for treatment, scheduling, payment, safety, or legal compliance may become part of a separate Cyntar clinical record. That record is governed by applicable healthcare privacy, confidentiality, and retention requirements and any clinical privacy notice provided to you.
International Processing
Cyntar S.C. is established in Mexico and serves prospective patients in the United States and Canada. Technical providers and subprocessors may process data in those countries, the European Economic Area, or other locations where they operate. Applicable contractual or legal safeguards will be used when required.
Security
Cyntar S.C. uses safeguards designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, role-based access, least-privilege access, multifactor authentication where available, audit logging, vendor review, suppression controls, backups, and retention procedures. No website or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Children
The website is directed primarily to adults considering bariatric services. A parent or legal guardian should submit and manage an inquiry involving a minor. We do not knowingly use a minor’s personal data for behavioral advertising.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data; withdraw consent; opt out of certain advertising disclosures; and complain to a regulator. Use GDPR and International Data Request or ARCO Rights Request, as applicable.
Global Privacy Control
Where applicable law requires recognition of Global Privacy Control or another valid opt-out preference signal, Cyntar S.C. will treat that signal as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising for the browser sending it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when technology, vendors, forms, services, law, ownership, or data practices change. The revised version will display a new last-updated date. Material changes will receive additional notice when legally required.
